Which APEX Shared orders include a free domain, what is free (the first year), and how renewals, transfers and refunds work for it.
Selected APEX Shared Hosting plans include one free domain — a new registration or a transfer-in — per hosting service. Checkout shows whether your order qualifies:
When the domain qualifies, checkout shows its registration price crossed out and Free (1st year).
The first registration year. If you choose more years at checkout, the extra years are charged at our regular price. From the second year, the domain renews at the regular price, on its own invoice — separate from your hosting. Auto-renew is on by default.

After the free year, the domain can be transferred like any other — see Get your EPP code to transfer a domain to another registrar. Registries may refuse a transfer within 60 days of registration or a previous transfer.
If the hosting is refunded, the domain's regular registration price is deducted from the refund, and the domain stays registered to you until its expiry date. Full details are in our Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
