Open your server's screen directly in the browser — useful when SSH is not working, a firewall rule locked you out, or the server does not boot normally.
When to use it
The browser console shows your server's screen as if you had a monitor attached. It works even when SSH does not, for example after:
- a firewall rule or SSH setting that locked you out;
- a network configuration mistake;
- a boot problem you need to watch.
Open the console
- Sign in to the client area, open Services and select your Cloud VPS.
- Click Console (or Open console).
- A new page connects to your server. When it shows Live console, you can type.
- Log in as
root with your root password from the Overview tab.
The top bar shows a Console password with Show and Copy buttons, in case the console asks for it.
Session time limit
For security, each console session lasts a limited time. The remaining time is shown at the top (Your console session will expire in …). When it ends, click Request a new session →.
Tips
- Copy and paste may not work inside the console. For long commands, connect with SSH once access is restored.
- Keyboard layout. The console uses your server's keyboard layout. If symbols come out wrong, type carefully or change the layout on the server.
- Connection failed? Check on the Overview tab that the server is running, then request a new session.
