How tablespace storage, workspaces and daily web requests are measured on APEX Shared plans, how to check your usage, and what happens when you reach a limit.
Every APEX Shared plan includes set amounts of the resources below. The current figures for each plan are on the compare plans page.
| Limit | What it measures |
|---|---|
| Tablespace | The database storage for your tables, indexes and other objects |
| Workspaces | How many APEX workspaces (each with its own schema) you can create |
| Web requests per day | How many requests your applications' web services can handle per day |
Your data is stored in a tablespace reserved for your service. It grows as you add data, up to your plan's size. Any additional workspaces you create share the same tablespace.
ORA-01653: unable to extend table.Your service page shows how many workspaces you are using, for example Additional Workspaces (1 / 3). Create more with + Create Additional Workspace until you reach the limit. See Add another APEX workspace to your plan.
Requests to your applications' web services are counted per day. The count starts again each day. If your applications regularly need more, move to a larger plan.
When you regularly reach a limit, a larger plan is usually the simplest answer — see Upgrade, renew or cancel a service. For production applications with heavy traffic or large data, consider APEX Dedicated DB, with private resources and no shared limits.
